Q: How deep do the screws for the mounting plate protrude into the deck/floor? Are there any nuts on the end of the bolts/screws below deck?
A: It is recommended that the flat-headed fasteners used go through both deck and backing plate for best results. Six holes are drilled in the plate for attachment but fasteners are NOT provided for this application as the type needed may vary.
Question: Will this work with a 9 inch Springfield pedestal base with 6 mounting holes
Answer: Yes, the larger holes you see in the picture should fit that bolt pattern exactly. Note that hole may need to be drilled larger to accommodate bolts
