3M, 19718, 847, Nitrile High Performance Rubber and Gasket Adhesive, 5 oz
- 3M Nitrile High Performance Rubber and Gasket Adhesive 847 is a versatile, solvent based, high performance adhesive with comparatively low viscosity for easy application. It offers both good oil resistance and good heat resistance, and is commonly used for bonding most rubber and gasket materials.

- Adheres to nitrile rubber (BUNA), neoprene, SBR, butyl, leather, vinyl and various rubbers
- Excellent fuel, oil and water resistance

Leaps and bounds better than RTV

I used this sealant because it was recommended by BRP as a replacement for the OEM sealant OMC used back in the 1970s and 80s. OMC is out of business so you can no longer buy the OEM sealant that's spec'd in all the repair manuals. This stuff... WOW! I had never heard of 847 before this experience but I've already recommended it twice to other folks working on engines. It's easy to work with, flowable, slow to setup, and BRUTAL after it cures. This is a 10/10 product. It's a little pricey, but I wouldn't do another gasket replacement without it after this experience. Highly recommended!
